On January 2, 2019, the Gladius MINI Underwater Drone, independently R&D and manufactured by CHASING INNOVATION, was named one of the "2018 Annual Innovative Photography Equipment" by PDN (Photo District News), a prestigious American photography magazine, alongside renowned photography brands such as DJI and SONY.
PDN (Photo District News) is an award-winning monthly publication for professional photographers, first launched in 1980. For over 20 years, it has focused on the professional photography industry, providing unbiased news and analysis, interviews, and portfolios of the latest photographic works, boasting high global recognition.
Its PDN Annual Photography Awards is a competition open to professional photographers worldwide with a history of more than 20 years. As a comprehensive competition, it has been described by Time magazine as "the best way for up-and-coming photographers to make their mark" and a "career turning point" for those on the list.
PDN’s "2018 Annual Innovative Photography Equipment" selected 12 photographic products that influenced the industry in 2018, covering categories such as DJI MAVIC PRO 2 and CHASING INNOVATION GLADIUS MINI in the drone sector, SONY RX100 VI and CANON 470EX-AI in camera equipment, ADOBE LIGHTROOM CC and CYBERLINK POWERDIRECTOR 17 in image editing, and GOOGLE PIXEL 3 and HUAWEI P20 in mobile photography.
PDN conducted a comprehensive and objective analysis and evaluation of these outstanding selected devices. Among the 12 photographic products named to PDN’s "2018 Annual Innovative Photography Equipment" list, CHASING INNOVATION’s Gladius MINI is the only underwater photography product to be included.
