In recent years, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has continuously increased efforts to cultivate high-quality SMEs, establishing a gradient cultivation system covering innovative SMEs, "Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel" SMEs, and "Little Giant" enterprises. It has pooled the efforts of various departments to accurately and effectively support the high-quality development of SMEs.

The China Center for SME Development released the 2022 SME Development Environment Assessment Report, showing that under the impact of the epidemic, "Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel" SMEs have shown stronger development resilience. The MIIT will create a better development environment for "Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel" SMEs, further improve cultivation and service measures in terms of funds, talents, technology, and incubation platform construction. It aims to have more than 80,000 "Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel" SMEs and over 10,000 "Little Giant" enterprises nationwide by the end of 2023.
The Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Commission awarded Chasing Innovation’s underwater robot the "2022 Shenzhen Science and Technology Award - Patent Award".
