From June 21 to 23, 2022, the 2022 East Asia Marine Expo was held at the Qingdao World Expo City, where over 800 well-known enterprises at home and abroad showcased leading equipment, technologies and solutions. Shenzhen Chasing Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chasing Innovation") was invited to present its latest technological products at this event. On the first day of the expo, Chasing Innovation launched its newly developed and manufactured latest-generation underwater intelligent robot product—the industrial-grade underwater drone "Gladius P200 PRO"—and grandly announced the official global launch of the product. This Marine Expo marks the first appearance of Gladius P200 PRO in China; prior to this, the product had been displayed to the industry at exhibitions held in Japan, Norway, Germany and other countries.
Chasing Innovation is a leader in the underwater drone industry, boasting internationally advanced independent R&D core technologies, with products sold to more than 80 countries and regions worldwide. Since its establishment in 2016, over six years, Chasing Innovation has launched 7 generations of products targeting water industry applications, consumer applications and underwater cleaning fields, represented by the Gladius P series, Chasing F1, Chasing DORY, Gladius MINI, and CM600. The newly launched Gladius P200 PRO is the latest generation of industrial-grade underwater drones, applicable to industries such as underwater emergency rescue, maritime and offshore engineering, fishery breeding, water conservancy and hydropower, offshore wind power, scientific research and environmental protection inspections, and municipal pipelines. It is an underwater drone platform that is simple to operate yet powerful, with superior expandability and compatibility.
The biggest features of Gladius P200 PRO are simplicity and power. With a body weight of only 8 KG, it can dive to a depth of 200 meters. The body integrates 5 expansion interfaces, enabling simultaneous mounting of up to 5 accessories, and supports expansion with more than 20 Chasing Innovation accessories and third-party accessories such as underwater positioning, imaging sonar, robotic arms, and water quality sensors. It adopts a slide-in accessory disassembly and assembly structure for the first time, allowing tool-free manual quick disassembly and assembly of accessories, saving a lot of time for solution deployment. The optional Chasing Shore-based Power Supply System (C-SPSS) features a battery compartment design for simpler installation and plugging/unplugging, with its output power increased to 1500W, ensuring the ROV can work continuously 24/7 even at full power. In addition, Gladius P200 PRO is upgraded with Chasing's second-generation anti-sand motor (C-MOTOR 2.0), with 30% increased power and higher reliability. The externally mounted 8000-lumen LED fill light adopts a dual-light source with an optimal illumination angle of 150°, which can effectively solve visual interference caused by reflection from floating objects. It can be either folded or unfolded for use.
In the emergency rescue industry, Gladius P200 PRO is equipped with a robotic arm, imaging sonar and underwater positioning system, which can assist rescuers in quickly searching, locating and salvaging target objects in turbid waters.
In the hull inspection industry, Gladius P200 PRO is equipped with range sonar, which can replace divers to conduct automatic underwater inspections of hulls and generate inspection reports, quickly determining whether the ship bottom is damaged and whether hull cleaning is needed. The externally mounted 8000-lumen LED fill light can effectively reduce the impact of underwater floating objects, providing clearer real-time images for hull inspection.
In the fishery breeding industry, Gladius P200 PRO is equipped with range sonar, which can replace divers to automatically inspect fish schools and cages, greatly reducing labor costs. In addition, being equipped with a water quality sampler and multi-parameter water quality sensor can provide a basis for judging water quality changes in breeding areas.
In the water conservancy and hydropower industry, traditional methods have difficulty accurately judging dam damage through underwater sensor data. Gladius P200 PRO can be equipped with a shore-based power supply system, USBL underwater positioning system and laser caliper to conduct 24/7 inspections of dams, accurately locate the position of dam cracks and precisely record the size of cracks, providing a more sophisticated and complete solution for dam inspection and ensuring the safe operation of dams.
In the environmental protection industry, Gladius P200 PRO is equipped with a water quality sampler and multi-parameter water quality sensor to conduct multi-layer, multi-point sampling and real-time detection of water quality in any area, efficiently and accurately providing environmental protection water quality data information at any location and depth.
In the municipal pipeline industry, Gladius P200 PRO can be paired with imaging sonar to conduct comprehensive inspections of pipelines when they are full of water.
